Rev. Sam Lim

Sam was born in Canada but grew up in various places around the world, including Hong Kong, Indonesia, and the United States. Sam grew up in a Christian home with loving parents and a younger sister. Sam is married to his beautiful and amazing wife, Ruby, with whom he has two amazing boys, Caleb and Caiden.

Sam is an ordained minister of the Christian Missionary Alliance in Canada. He was ordained in 2019 as a confirmation of his calling into pastoral ministry. He has almost 20 years of pastoral experience working with teens, young adults (college and university students), young professionals and parents. He loves Jesus and people. 

When it comes to downtime, Sam enjoys sports (almost all kinds!), spending time with his family, playing with his boys, and cheering for the Canucks, and the Whitecaps FC. Sam's passions are to see people come to a deeper, more loving, and fuller relationship with Jesus, and to live out God’s heart to love God more fully and to love people everywhere with God's kindness and compassion. 

Sam's passion is for people to understand and experience Jesus' love in deep, simple, and profound ways, and for His church to be built up in a healthy manner. Sam is also passionate about creating safe and hospitable spaces, both physically and relationally, for people to connect with God and with each other. Sam enjoys a cup of coffee (or a meal!) to talk about how our faith intersects with our lives and God's kingdom and will.
