COMMUNITY

Paul in his theology saw the church as an eschatological community of citizens trying to live their lives today here. We are the elected people of God, who through the blood of the eternal covenant live out the tensions of this already but not yet reality. Because we can be so absolutely certain of the future, our lives today can be incredibly exciting despite hardship.

We know how the story of God will be completed, beginning with creation and ending with a new creation. Our call is to articulate, to live out to our city what this hope looks like! Our future is understood in light of the present, and this is how this City will come to know their future when they see Crucible.
